Earth Works

I’ve been thinking of using some sort of earth work manipulation. I think its a cheap way of giving some character to an otherwise flat site..and community. In that way 2 things could be ultimately resolved, #1 playground and #2 drainage. In other words, by raising and sinking the terrain we would obtain natural drainage of the facility, give a natural playground to the area and allow more exciting walkthroughs+exits+entrances to the site.

You have good thoughts re. making some sort of earth works. I like the idea and I agree that drainage should be addressed. It bothers me a little bit that the neighborhood is being rebuild without much apparent thought being given to permeability. Not that the park would have much effect on a grander scale, but it could serve as a good example and I think that is important.
